I’m sure there is nothing threatening with this game, but my McAfee antivirus won’t let me play it. Usually, McAfee gives a warning but you can play the games anyway. “Talin” is a game it stops entirely. It’s a problem I've encountered only a few times.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and let me know! 💬
I understand how frustrating it can be when antivirus software blocks a game you’re excited to try. Talín is 100% safe and clean, but sometimes antivirus programs like McAfee flag indie games—especially RPG Maker games—as suspicious simply because they’re not widely recognized or digitally signed.
That said, I completely respect your caution. If you'd still like to give the game a try, one workaround is to temporarily disable real-time scanning while launching it, or add the game folder as an exception in McAfee. But only if you're fully comfortable doing so.
I’ll also look into this issue more deeply and see if there’s anything I can do on my end to avoid these false positives in future updates.
Thanks again for your support and trust—it means a lot! 🙏 If you ever do get a chance to play Talín, I hope the story and journey resonate with you.
If you check the game "Skolios", I remember having the same issue there. I no nothing about programming, but maybe it will interest you what Skolios' creator replied:
I've "packed" the entire game folder into the game.exe using "Enigma Virtual Box" so random people wouldn't be able to edit the game itself so easily (which happened before sadly). But that seems to cause some issues with said anti virus programs.
Thank you so much for sharing that—and what a coincidence! 😊 I really appreciate you taking the time to mention Skolios and the creator's approach.
Just like in that case, I also “packed” the game using Enigma Virtual Box to bundle all the game files into a single executable. The main reason was to protect the integrity of Talín—I wanted to make it a bit harder for the files to be tampered with, especially after hearing stories of other indie projects being modified or broken unintentionally.
That said, I’ve learned this kind of packaging can sometimes raise red flags with certain antivirus programs, even though the game itself is completely safe. It’s frustrating, I know, and I’ll keep looking for a better balance between file protection and ease of access.
Again, thank you for your openness and kindness in sharing your experience—it helps a lot more than you might think!

Hi again! I have had a good time with your game, but also experienced that the game crashed when using the great lightning staff combined with multiple shock. I switched it for an ice staff, which worked well.
Hi again! I'm really glad to hear you've been enjoying the game—that truly means a lot to me! 😊
Thank you as well for pointing out the crash when using the Great Lightning Staff with Multiple Shock. You're actually the second player to report this, so now I know for sure it’s not just a one-time glitch. I’ll definitely look into it and do my best to fix the issue in a future update.
In the meantime, I’m happy to hear the Ice Staff is serving you well as an alternative! ❄️⚔️
Thanks again for playing Talín and for taking the time to share your experience. Your feedback helps me improve the game and make it more stable for everyone.
I've really enjoyed the game. However, I did want to alert you to a (strange) bug/crash that I've encountered (Win 11).
If the Mage casts "Multiple Shock" while equipped with the "Great Lightning Staff", the game silently crashes to the desktop. I've tested this across different enemies and in different zones and it appears to occur every time. No crashes occurred when casting spells other than Multiple Shock (including, e.g., "Ice Wave" and "Yellow") while equipped with the Great Lightning Staff. There were also no crashes when casting Multiple Shock while equipped with other weapons (checked specifically with the "Sinister Staff" and with the "Staff of Light").
I'm glad you liked the game. Look, this occurrence is possibly related to the animation or the sequence of movements that the character takes when executing the "Multi Shock" skill, maybe it is a coincidence that it only happened to you with the Great Lighting Staff equipped, there may be other factors that should be tested. I remember that it happened to me while I was creating the game, and being a low level mage, that is, with cheaper weapons.
However, now after reading your comment I have tested it a large number of times and it has not happened to me. I could change the animation of that skill and that would solve it.
If you have suggestions, comments or curiosities please let me know, I will answer you if it is at my disposal. If you liked this game you might also be interested in my newest game "Astraeus - Path of the Chosen". Thanks for the comment and for playing!
